Alaska Air adds nonstop service to Honolulu from Oakland and San Jose

SEATTLE, umyť.

SEATTLE, Wash. – Alaska Airlines today announced new daily nonstop service between Honolulu and Oakland and Honolulu and San Jose, Calif., marking the latest in a series of new Hawaii routes introduced by the carrier this year. The Honolulu service begins April 10, 2012, and complements Alaska Airlines’ existing daily nonstop flights from Oakland and San Jose to Hawaii’s other three major destinations: Kona, on the Big Island; Lihue, on the island of Kauai; and Kahului, Maui.

Alaska Airlines is offering a special introductory fare for tickets purchased by Nov. 4, 2011, for travel between April 10 and June 9, 2012.

To celebrate the new service, Alaska Airlines is partnering with Bay Area radio stations to give away an airplane’s worth of tickets**. The “Nuts for Honolulu” campaign, which launches today, invites listeners to participate on-air for a chance to win 160 tickets to Honolulu, Kona, Kauai and Maui throughout the week. Details about each day’s contest are also available by using the Twitter hashtag #nuts4honolulu.
